I went to Sacramento job corps in January 2010; I was an office administration trainee. While in job corps I was the head receptionist, copy room crew member, office assistant, and office manager. I could not stand working in the copy room because it was cold and could get very messy. For instance we created our own worksheets and applications for our job corps location, that meant that we typed up the papers, glued them and made sure that ink worked on the papers. Having all those roles to play I was responsible for making sure that tasks in the office was completed in a reasonable time frame, answered telephone calls from a variety of different people, assisting my trade instructor with any tasks she needed help with. I became a positive leader, punctual, very respectful, a positive asset to the corporation towards the end of my completion. I learned to also be professional and that no matter where you are, you are always being looked at so I should think about my actions before proceeding. I learned that I have no problem with working with other people. And that I can be a leader without having to be so demanding.
